The Japanese automaker Toyota has officially revealed the 2020 Prius Prime with many improvements, updates, and some minor revisions. However, the most striking upgrade is the addition of a new fifth seat with more space. Toyota claims that the Prius Prime is still their most efficient hybrid product on the market. The name of its trim level has also been changed for the 2020 Prius Prime in order to be in line with other models such like the Camry for example.
Speaking of standard features, the 2020 Toyota Prius Prime comes with several updated technology features, including SiriusXM and Amazon Alexa compatibility, Apple CarPlay connectivity, two additional 2.1A USB ports for rear seats. There are also some touches on the interior and exterior such as black interior accents (replacing current white accents), new sun visor extender, and front seats passenger with relocated heater buttons.
Claimed to be the most efficient hybrid car Toyota has ever made, the new Prius Prime has an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 54 mpg combined with an electric mileage range of up to 25 miles. The 2020 Toyota Prius Prime is equipped with a dual-motor drive system in EV mode which is claimed to increase its acceleration. Apart from that, the Japanese car manufacturer claims that the new Prius Prime has also an EPA-estimated of a total driving range up to 640-miles.

The 2020 Toyota Prius Prime is now available in several trim level options including LE, XLE, and Limited. It’s claimed to be the most advanced technologically and most complete car in the last two decades. The Prius Prime can run very well in both hybrid and EV modes, and it’s claimed to have a good balance between customer needs and desires, says Toyota.
There’s no official statement regarding release date, but the 2020 Toyota Prius Prime is scheduled to reach U.S. showrooms this summer. The facelifted Prius Prime is scheduled to go on sale at a starting price of $27,600 for the LE trim and $29,500 for the XLE trim. While the 2020 Prius Prime Limited is priced at $33,500, this is the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) and doesn’t include destination charge.
